Dr. Frank X. Venzara III was born in Merritt Island, FL. He attended the University of Miami where he received his bachelors in Biomedical Engineering and his doctorate in Medicine. He spent a full year performing research at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute where he published articles in peer reviewed journals and presented his work at multiple national meetings. He then went on to Texas A & M Scott & White Eye Institute where he completed a 4 year internship and ophthalmology residency training program and served as Chief Resident. Following residency, he completed a 2 year surgical retina fellowship at one of the most intensive retina surgery programs in the country.

While at the Retina Consultants of Alabama fellowship program at UAB Callahan Eye Hospital, Dr. Venzara performed over 1,100 retina surgery cases which is greater than 2.5 times the national average for retina fellows. Dr. Venzara is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology and Florida Society of Ophthalmology. He joined Riverside Eye Center in March of 2015.

In his free time, Dr. Venzara enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children. He is also an avid fisherman, surfer, wakeboarder and loves just about anything outdoors.
